Costco

Costco was one of the first major retailers to mandate masks in stores, instituting a mask policy on May 4.

Best Buy

On Wednesday, Best Buy started requiring customers to wear masks in its stores. It will provide masks to customers who need them.

Starbucks

On July 9, Starbucks became the first national restaurant chain to announce a mask requirement, which went into effect on Wednesday. The policy applies only to company-owned stores.

Apple Store

Target

On Thursday, USA Today reported that Target had updated its coronavirus policies to include a mask mandate for customers. The new mandate will go into effect on August 1.
